Money and Meaning – The Book

Does everyone have a book inside them? I’ve always admired people who manage to write one, especially novelists. How do they keep the thread going day after day? I’m told the secret is to write a little each day, but I imagine you also have to immerse yourself fully in the characters. And when the final chapter is written, do you fall out of love with the book—or in love with it even more?

For years I’ve been writing blogs, white papers, and articles. In the back of my mind, I always wondered if these words might one day grow into something bigger. The question was: where to begin? The answer, it turned out, was to write the book for myself. To tell the stories that mattered to me, in a way that others might relate to. That felt like the most honest place to start.

The journey from first draft to finished book has been a learning curve. Once I had a version I was happy with, my wife read it and gave me invaluable feedback. Then an editor helped shape the flow, smoothing out the rough edges. Finally, after months of refining, the book made its way onto Amazon.

What is the book about?

At its heart, Money and Meaning is about our relationship with money. It explores how money can influence us, sometimes in ways we don’t even realise, and how we can start to break free from its grip. I share personal stories alongside broader themes, all written as simply and clearly as I can. My hope is that readers feel the book speaks to them, wherever they are on their financial journey.

What’s next?

I’m already thinking about my next project: a book on investing. With a bit of luck, this time next year I’ll be sharing more on that adventure.

In the meantime, if you know someone who might enjoy Money and Meaning, I’d love for you to share the link. Thank you for supporting me on this journey, it means more than you know.
